EXAMINATIONS


The annual examination in each course is conducted by University of Jammu in April- May. The weight age to this examination is 80% of total marks in theory and 50% in practicals.
For being eligible to sit in examination students are required to have a minimum of 75% attendance in each theory paper and 30 days' attendance in practicals. Those falling short of attendance in either or both are not allowed to appear in examination.

Internal Assessment

Twenty percent (20%) of total marks for each theory paper in a subject are reserved for internal assessment. 15% of each paper is assessed through two internal assessments each of 7.5% weight age and remaining 5% is calculated on the basis of the regularity of the attendance. The marks for attendance are awarded on the basis of the following scale:

Below 75% of the total number of attendance Zero
From 75% to 80% of the total number of attendance 40%
Above 80% to 85% of the total number of attendance 60%
Above 85% to 90% of the total number of attendance 80%
Above 90% of the total number of attendance 100%

 In Science stream 50% of marks in the practicals of science subjects are awarded through internal assessment.

Certificate Issued to the Outgoing Students
            An outgoing student may obtain the following certificates from the college:
a. Provisional Certificate.
b. Character Certificate
c. College leaving Certificate (if student leaves in mid-session)
d. Certificate of having appeared in the University Examination.

Note:
1. Applications for the certificates should be submitted to the Principal 5 days in advance to facilitate timely issuance.
2. Certificates shall be issued only after the student produces a "No Demand Certificate" from all concerned departments and the library.
3. The first copy of the certificate shall be issued free of cost. Duplicate copies shall be issued on payment of Rs.10/- per certificate.
